The Forum has recently started to work with Leeds Metropolitan University, bringing students and members of staff along to International Affairs Forum events with a view to improving links between the two universities and widening the debate on international affairs.

The International Affairs Forum has teamed up with London-based independent international affairs think tank Chatham House by joining their Academic Partners Programme to give you access to their activities by offering you the opportunity to try before you join and a student membership discount if you want to become a member.

About Chatham House
Founded in 1926 in the aftermath of WW1 by delegates to the Paris Peace Conference, Chatham House provides an independent forum bringing together people and organisations from a wide range of backgrounds including academia, business, diplomacy, government, law, media, the military, NGOs and the public sector in an open and impartial environment.

Try Before You Join
Chatham House will offer students the opportunity to try before they join by making 5 places available at 3 events per month. The events on offer will include 2 events from their Members’ Events Programme and one event from their Under 35s Forum. Details will be advertised on the IA Forum website and in our newsletter.

Student Membership Discount
Normally only available to students of its academic institutional members, Chatham House is extending its student membership discount to students of the International Affairs Forum. Student members enjoy all the benefits of membership of Chatham House and a generous discount off their advertised 2007 fee. Benefits include:
