Founded in 2005, International Affairs Forum is a non-partisan association where students and the public can openly exchange ideas and perspectives about a wide variety of current international issues.
The Forum returns in 08/09 with a brand-new organising committee and a packed schedule of events. Over the year we will be dedicating a series of events to Rising Powers in the global economy as well as the usual blend of speaking events on a wide range of international issues, welcoming a range of politicians, academics, journalists, diplomats and other guests to University. All our events are free and open to all.
This year we are looking to host some seminars and documentaries to complement our main events and we will also be revamping our website so that students and the public can use it as a multimedia resource so keep checking back for additions and updates. We welcome any comment pieces or reviews to add to this resource and would love to hear your ideas about how we can improve the Forum.
With continued support from Leeds University and LUU, we will look to reach out into the community and invite people from Leeds Met, the City Council and other local and regional organisations to join the debate.
Should you wish to become involved in the website or the committee please don’t hesitate to get in touch: info@iaforum.org.uk If you are interested in receiving updates on IAF events, please join our mailing list by submitting your email address in the left hand column. We’ll be happy to answer any questions if you get in touch at info@iaforum.org.uk. We’re very much looking forward to an exciting year ahead and hope that you will join us in the evolving community that is the International Affairs Forum.
