Welcome

The International Affairs Forum has established a strong and active presence on campus this semester; continuing our popular speaker series and establishing the weekly radio show ‘Global Perspectives’ on LSRfm.com. We are also continuing to expand our wider projects including the expansion of this website into a dynamic, interactive multimedia resource centre, building on the interviews and comment pieces which have been contributed so far.

We’re all about getting the message through

We are now working on an exciting and diverse speaker programme to commence after the winter break, working with a new and expanding team of committee members, with continued cooperation with other groups on campus. These include the Centre for International Governance, Leeds University Union and the Business School. We are also planning trips for obtaining interviews and career prospects for students on campus.

Due to the past popularity of the lecture series, we have decided that there is scope to branch out. We are currently looking at ways in which to encourage awareness of international issues. These include exhibitions, music, theatre as well as more sober seminar series and publications.

Coming Soon:

We will be bringing out our publication soon and we are currently in the process of building this website into a dynamic and well-stocked resource for reference and discussion. This will be done through articles, interviews and our forthcoming Forum message board. We will also be uploading a number of book reviews into our Books150 section which we hope you will contribute towards.
